WhatsApp payment reminder templates for shops (English & Roman Urdu)
Copy-ready WhatsApp payment reminders for shops in English and Roman Urdu: before the due date, on the day, overdue, a second reminder, plus thank-you and payment-plan messages.

On this page
A good payment reminder is short, private and exact: the customer's name, your shop's name, the amount, the due date, how to pay, and a thank-you. Below are ready-to-use templates in English and Roman Urdu for each stage, from a gentle nudge before the due date to a firmer second reminder, plus thank-you and payment-plan messages. The ones in the first section use the placeholders {name}, {shop}, {balance}, {due_date} and {link}, so you can paste them straight into Credit Khata's reminder settings.
Replace the example JazzCash number (0300 1234567) with your own before you use them.
What every reminder should have
- A greeting and the customer's name. It is a message to a person, not a notice.
- Your shop's name, so they know who it is from.
- The exact amount, not "your dues".
- The due date, if you agreed one.
- How to pay: your wallet number, or "at the counter".
- A way to check: a statement or a link to their account.
- A thank-you.
And one thing it should never have: other people. Send reminders privately, never in a group.
Templates with placeholders
In Credit Khata, the words in curly brackets are filled in for each customer when you send: {name}, {shop}, {balance}, {due_date} and {link} (a one-time link to the customer's own khata, valid for 24 hours).

These are for moments the reminder feature does not cover. Replace the words in square brackets yourself.

Tips on timing and tone
- Send near pay day. A reminder the morning after salary day is more useful than one at the end of a long month.
- Once a week is enough after the due date. More often feels like pressure.
- Avoid late nights and holidays. A reminder on the morning of Eid will be remembered for the wrong reasons.
- Match their language. If the customer writes to you in Roman Urdu, remind them in Roman Urdu.
- Keep it short. One or two sentences, the amount and the way to pay.
- Let them check. A link or a statement answers "how did it get to this much?" before they have to ask.

Send them in seconds with Credit Khata
In Credit Khata, owners and managers can save one of these as the shop's reminder message:
- Open Reminders → Settings.
- Paste the template into Message. You can tap {name}, {shop}, {balance}, {due_date} and {link} to insert them.
- Check it under Preview, set Only remind when they owe at least, and tap Save.
Then open Reminders → Overdue and tap Remind all. For each customer, tap WhatsApp or SMS; your own app opens with the message filled in, and you press send. Messages can be up to 480 characters. If you leave Message empty, the standard English wording is used.

Save customers' numbers with the country code (+92 …) so WhatsApp opens their chat directly. The full walkthrough is in Send payment reminders on WhatsApp or SMS, and to add your wallet details so customers can pay from the link, see Add your JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank details so customers can pay you.
Frequently asked questions
What should a payment reminder message include?
The customer's name, your shop's name, the exact amount, the due date if there is one, how to pay, and a polite thank-you. A link to their account helps them check it themselves.
How often should I send reminders?
Once around the due date, and then about once a week while it stays unpaid. Daily messages tend to annoy rather than work.
Is it better to remind on WhatsApp or by SMS?
Use whatever the customer reads. WhatsApp is free to send and lets you include a link; SMS reaches customers without a smartphone.
Can Credit Khata send these messages for me?
Credit Khata fills in the name, shop, balance, due date and a khata link, then opens WhatsApp or SMS on your phone with the message ready. You press send.
